HOW IT WORKS

Intercept the Scouts, Prevent the Swarm

When paired with BuzzBeacon™, ScoutStop™ attracts scout bees searching for a new nesting site during the swarming process. Drawn in by BuzzBeacon™’s powerful pheromone formulation, scouts are intercepted and prevented from returning to their swarm. Without confirmation of a suitable nesting site from the intercepted scouts, the swarm moves on to other potential locations, leaving the protected property unharmed.

ScoutStop™ comes with a pair of CatchMaster #100FF Glue Boards.
For best results, ScoutStop™ is recommended for use with the included #100FF boards. It can also be paired with standard mouse and insect glue traps (such as those from CatchMaster, MaxCatch, and similar brands), though these alternatives may not capture bees as effectively as the #100FF boards.

It all begins with an established hive, whether wild or farmed. From there, bees send out foragers to search for food and water to sustain the colony.

When resources are plentiful, the colony grows quickly, producing new bees and eventually a new queen. At this stage, the hive creates a swarm, with part of the colony leaving to establish a new home.

During swarming, scout bees are sent out to search for suitable nesting sites.

At any stage of this cycle, you may encounter bee issues in your space.
